Dr. Bao Nguyen completed his PhD in Integrative Biology and Pharmacology at Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center -Houston (UTHSC-H) and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2006. Next, he was admitted to and graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 2010 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UTHSC-H in 2013. He then joined the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California (LAC-USC) and completed his Rheumatology fellowship in 2015. During his fellowship at LAC-USC, he assisted in the department clinical research trials and conducted his own research under the supervision of Dr. David A. Horwitz. His work entitled “Changes in Serum Albumins Correlate Highly with Sererity and Activity of SLE” was accepted and presented during a poster session of the annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology 2015. Dr. Bao Nguyen is board certified in Internal Medicine 2013 and Rheumatology 2015. He moved back to his family and community in Houston after his fellowship training. With a shortage of rheumatology care in the area, he found the Houston Comprehensive Rheumatology, P.A. to practice what he truly enjoys and serve the community.
